Hello, I'm Ketki Vernekar, a rising senior at Lebanon Trail High School with a strong passion for dermatology and skin health. This passion inspired me to create GlowGuard, a project dedicated to raising awareness about sun safety and skin cancer prevention through innovative UV-sensing technology.

Alongside my academics, I proudly serve as captain of the varsity swim team and executive vice president of Medify, a 501(c)(3) non-profit.

I'm also the co-founder of a bake sale project that has raised over $500. This experience has shown me the impact of community involvement and dedicated efforts toward meaningful causes.

Every day, I'm motivated to change the world for the better and strive for excellence in all I do. Beyond academics and career goals, I love baking desserts and experimenting with new recipes. With the support of ISM and my experiences, I hope to pursue a career in medicine-specifically dermatology--and l'm eager to see where my passion for helping others, healthcare, and science takes me!
